Ronald Boonacker (Amsterdam, 1958) is a Dutch artist. Color, warmth and a sunny outlook on life. Those are the three elements that characterize artist Ronald Boonacker in life and work.
Boonacker is a self-taught. He traveled all over the world for decades. In the most diverse places he was touched by the earth through landscapes, tropical beaches, islands, palm trees and sunsets. The immense beauty, the immeasurable greatness: on the canvas Boonacker finally found the way to capture the indescribable experience of the nature that surrounds us. The artist works on paintings, drawings and serigraphs in his workshops in Amsterdam and the Mexican Acapulco. Boonacker works predominantly in bright tones and bold color accents, sometimes interspersed with silver or gold. His art is cosmopolitan, but the basis for his paintings lies in the traditional Dutch still lifes and landscapes. Although he can ground everywhere, Boonackers roots are unmistakably in the Netherlands.
Boonacker mainly works with acrylic paint in bright shades and with strong color accents, sometimes alternating with silver or gold. No matter how cosmopolitan his art is, the basis for his canvases lies in the Dutch traditional still lifes and landscapes.
