Tanneke Peetoom (1867) is a Dutch photographer, self-taught, married and mother of 2 teenage daughters. In October 2010 she got her first camera from her husband and photography has been her passion since. She began taking pictures of her daughters,then girlfriends of her daughters, these pictures ended up on social media and shortly thereafter she got her first assignments.
Tanneke has developed her own unique style. Clear portrait photos, always made with natural light and a romantic look. She uses antique hair styles and clothing.
She photographs children between the ages of 5 and 18. She mainly depicts children and focuses on their eyes in order to emphasize their purity and vulnerability, with the eyes as a focal point. She has produced several publications in magazines, has already made 9 book covers and is mentioned in the book ‘The New Dutch Photography Talent’.
Recently she won the second prize at a prestigious European photo competition: PX3 Prix de la Photography Paris with her photo ‘Eva, the girl with the veil’.
