Description

This table top is made from oiled Cedrela. Cedrela can come from many countries, in this case, a Spanish cedar wood, a particularly beautiful type of wood. Cedrela has a pleasant smell and is often used for the construction of luxury cigar boxes (humidors) or wardrobes. The specific smell keeps moths at a distance. The wood is used less often for furniture because it is more expensive than, for example, pine and oak wood, which makes it even more exclusive. The color is reddish yellow-brown to bright red-brown or brown-red. By sawing the boards in a certain way you can achieve a dark/light effect. The wood is slightly less hard than oak.

The leaf on the picture is made of 15 strips of 10 cm and the leaf has a diameter of 150 cm. If you want a different format, ask us for the possibilities.

The table on the picture has been treated with oil. Oil gives the table a warm appearance. Instead of oil, the table can also be finished with a silk or high-gloss lacquer which gives it a more chic look. The advantage of treating with oil is that damage can be easily treated.

The special steel table legs

The blade is available on Y-legs of 10 cm or 7.5 cm thick steel tube. The steel is sprayed with bronze or copper and then patented. The patination gives the bronze and copper a special character.
