Description
The table top of this design table is made of 2 beautiful Lebanon Cedar planks. This Lebanon Cedar comes from France. Lebanon cedar originates from the eastern Mediterranean region. In its natural habitat, the Lebanon cedar can reach a height of forty meters. In other parts of the world, it is used as an ornamental tree in parks, gardens, and cemeteries. The wood was popular for centuries for its quality and pleasant smell, which resulted in large-scale deforestation of the original cedar forests. Today the Lebanon cedar is the national symbol of Lebanon and the remaining shredded forests are protected. This tabletop consists of 2 shelves and is lined with steel which is sprayed with red copper and then patinated. The size is 80 cm x 160 cm. If you want a different format, ask for the possibilities. It has a vibrant green look and the red copper is still visible here and there. This design table, the wood is oiled which gives a warmer color. The advantage of treating with oil is that it can easily be treated in case of damage. The wood can also be lacquered in silk or high gloss, which makes the wood lighter and more upscale. A scratch in lacquer is less easy to handle.
The special steel table legs
The shape of the two converging rivers in the leaf comes back in the shape of the table legs. The shape of the table legs is plasma cut from 10 mm thick rolled sheet steel. The steel has been sprayed with red copper and then patinated. The patina gives the red copper a nice blue-green color.
